Destruction, recovery and recycling
Materials are dealt with to the customer’s requirements from the moment they leave their site. Our team takes control of the material on-site by processing through a series of de-packaging equipment, shredders and screeners. The aim is to not only completely destroy the brand and product, but to also recover and recycle each waste type to achieve full landfill diversion.
Residuals are carefully assessed and managed through the appropriate licensed treatment routes which may include anaerobic digestion, composting or energy from waste processes. Packaging – now in an unrecognisable and non-reusable form – is shredded or baled and sent for final processing. Plastics are granulated at our own facility and paper, card and metal are sent to the end-user for recycling.
