How does it work?
Whether it’s plastics collected through our collection boxes, from our other sites and processes, or beach and river clean ups, we treat them all equally – if it can be recycled, we will; or, for degraded and otherwise unrecyclable items, we’ll use them in our board manufacturing system.

Using our recycling box collection service?
Our plastic recycling boxes can be filled with all kinds of plastic. We take everything, even mixed polymers and ‘non-recyclables’.
Courier service

Delivered direct to our Hull plastics hub
Our reliable courier service picks up the full boxes, which are securely delivered to our recycling centre in Hull. Boxes subject to 72hr quarantine period.
Material sorting
When using our collection boxes the contents are weighed and relevant information collected. The materials inside are then manually and mechanically sorted. Non-accepted materials are removed, some plastics are taken for granulation & any metal or glass is removed for separate recycling. Plastics collected from our other site processes are also integrated at this point.
Washing & shredding
All plastics are pre-shredded, followed by our wash process and then shredded a final time to a maximum size of 5mm.
Board Mill
The MYboard™ mill creates three layers of shredded plastic (two skin layers around a core). It heats and presses, making the plastic expand. The result is a strong and durable plastic board, suitable for a wide variety of uses.
Recycled!
MYReFactory
Our design and manufacturing team turns the boards into furniture, housewares, garden products and more. We can even design items on request, made solely from your own recycled plastic!

MYReSure
Our MYReSure policy ensures everything we make can be recycled again! We will arrange free collection of any unwanted or broken items. Truly closing the loop on plastic waste.
A safe way forward in PPE recycling
We provide a full-service PPE & covid-waste recycling process. Businesses and other venues can make use of our dedicated, safe and secure bins where PPE can be disposed of. We then use our innovative recycling technologies to recover the waste materials completely.
Step 1
PPE waste and other hard-to-recycle plastics are collected in one of our PPE bins or recycling boxes
Step 2
When full, our dedicated courier service will arrange collection and delivery to our hub
Step 3
On arrival the details and weight of the box are recorded on our system and then the box moves to our quarantine area for 72hrs – to ensure the safety of our team
Step 4
PPE is transferred to our sorting tables where it is split & manually checked for un-accepted material initially
Step 5
Material then goes through pre-shred to open the structure up. As this waste may be dirty, this process is vital to allow it to be washed thoroughly
Step 6
High-pressure washing and frication remove residues or dirt from the waste
Step 7
Now clean, the materials are shredded down to 5mm and blended with other plastics to make up the core of our boards
Step 8
Recycling the unrecyclable; we can recycle ALL your PPE – masks, gloves, visors etc, along with many other plastic products ordinarily destined for landfill or incineration. Get in touch today to discuss your waste plastics.
